GTD supports Europe’s first commercial orbital launch attempt

During the test flight of Spectrum, developed by Isar Aerospace, GTD’s Launch Control System (LCS) ensured a smooth countdown and real-time mission control. Approximately 30 seconds after liftoff, it was required the activation of the Flight Termination System, executed successfully by GTD’s LCS to ensure a safe and controlled descent of the vehicle into the sea.
Although this system is designed for use only in exceptional cases, its flawless performance confirmed its reliability, protecting all personnel and preserving the launch infrastructure.
The mission provided critical data for future flights and confirmed Europe’s ability to operate autonomous and safe launch capabilities.
“We’re proud to have demonstrated the reliability of our systems during such a symbolic milestone for Europe in space. This is a key step for future missions, and we’re ready to keep supporting what’s next.” — Ricardo Bennassar, COO of GTD.
